The good folks from Japan traveled across the world for a photo shoot for Boon Magazine, a monthly fashion and streetwear publication. They came bearing gifts of delicious mochi and green tea. I love everything from Japan. I hope I can pay them a visit. It’s been too long since I’ve been to the land of the rising sun. |

Logan Hicks Installation

Logan Hicks just came back from London and New York and went right to work at our Upstairs Gallery. I got the chance to see the new pieces and some of his older pieces that are going to be in the show. Needless to say, it’s going to be an awesome show– a real treat for fans of Logan Hicks and a great introduction to his work if you’re not familar with it.  Going to have to come to the opening this Thursday at 7 to check out the paintings.  The artist hard at work. |

Their LA issue is out on the stands right now. There is a featurette of our store, a bunch of our products sprinkled throughout, and a pic of Joff, our former intern who now works at the store and occasionally does some design assistance in the office. He misses out on the free lunches and complimentary drinks, so it’s nice to see him get some face time. (No matter how ugly that face may be…I’m just playin’, Playa.) Make sure to check out the article on my boy, Chaz of TLP, and of course the main article on the Fairfax Six…Seven?…Eight? Whatever, it’s a big motherf*ckin’ crew. Can’t forget about Slick and Mr. Cartoon, friends of the XLARGE family.

Weekly Drop just wrapped up the interview with Eli literally a few minutes ago. I overheard most of it and I think Jeff and Eli spent the whole time talking about Avy Scott. So catch the interview when it goes up on the web and Sirius, because Lord knows porn isn’t the topic of enough things on the internet and satellite radio.
