You smell that? Yeah, I smell something cooking too.
I spoke about Dez Einswell a few months back on the XLARGE blog. We had some coffee down the block yesterday. The guy on the right is Tony the Toymaker…Yes, “Hmmmmmm” indeed. |

Logan Hicks Farewell LA Show at the Upstairs Gallery.
Logan Hicks, Los Angeles stencil artist, is our second collaborator in our Gallery series. Logan has rocketed to international recognition with his obsessive approach to creating stencils. His talent as an artist is one of the most coveted in the art and streetwear world, doing works for KSwiss, Burton Snowboards, Upper Playground, and numerous galleries. He is relocating to Brooklyn shortly, so the opportunity to see him at gallery openings in the LA area will be few and far in between. To mark Logan’s departure from Los Angeles he will be having a ‘Farewell LA show’ at the Upstairs Gallery at XLARGE on Vermont Avenue. To commemorate this show Logan worked with XLARGE to produce a number of items that will be available exclusively at the Los Angeles X-Large shop. Here are the computer mock-ups of the pieces. We may even have a few other things for sale, but I can’t spill the beans on everything just yet. ![]() Comes in a set for $30. ![]() $35 You can pre-buy these items over the phone by calling our flagship store at 323-666-3483 SHORTLY. I’ll let you know when the buying can begin. |

Mr. Cartoon Presents “Lost Angels”.
|
Mr. Cartoon, a good friend to XLarge, just came out with one of the coolest vinyl figures I’ve seen in a long time. He collaborated with SuperRad Toys to make the “Lost Angels” 14” figure. Check out the intricate tattoos with removable Nike Cortez and Air Force-1s. It also comes with a ghetto blaster, T-Mobile Sidekick phone, and SA Studio necklace. It doesn’t get more West Coast than this.
Thanks to Jonathan at SuperRad Toys for the images. |
