“Glendale Boulevard Is Where I’m At”
|
“Glendale Boulevard Boulevard Ari Marcopoulos took this shot of the Beastie Boys at the Atwater Village sign next to the old G-SON Studios, where they recorded the classic albums, Check Your Head and most of Ill Communications. XLARGE now occupies the same building. In my opinion, which doesn’t count for anything, the Beasties need to come back to the West Coast and start making “good” albums again instead of the subpar joints of late. (I can’t believe I’m recommending that someone leave New York City and come to LA for the better. And my opinion does not reflect those of XLARGE’s nor do I speak for anyone but myself in this particular matter.) Here is Rory(designer), Billy(designer), and Eli(Head Honcho) looking just as goofy as the B-Boys.
To set the record straight, I believe the Beastie Boys are one of the greatest things to happen to music. |
