Beckham Coming to America to Learn Proper English
|
After much speculation and rumors, it is now official. Englishman David Beckham is going to grace Los Angeles and the rest of America with his dazzling footwork that will generate 0-0 matches. It’ll only cost the LA Galaxy a small fee of about $1 million a week for the next five years. (Yes, you read that correctly.) Beckham, when asked about his gigantor contract, is qouted as saying, “Of course it’s a huge amount of money . . . it’s an amazing amount of money. [However] I said yesterday - and some people laughed at me - but this move for me is not about the money. It’s about hopefully making a difference in the US with the soccer and that’s what I’m going there for. Kudos to Beckham though. He’s not even in America yet and he’s already speaking proper English– calling football soccer. ![]() So wrong. Here’s Ali G’s interview with the Beckham’s. Hilarious! You’ll laugh your ass off. All kidding and joking aside. I’m a huge fan of soccer and am pretty stoked about watching him and perhaps other top notch international players compete in America. Maybe he can teach Americans not to lose against other national teams that spend about a third of what the US does in training soccer players. (i.e. Ghana) |
